One of ADKC’s members has informed us about the following event:
Through a discussion of their beautifully humane novels, authors Alice Burnet (Ideal Love) and Anne Patterson (Yes) explore the effects of medical conditions on everyday life. Both novels were published in late 2017 and they both use a medical condition to ask what matters in life.
This is also a talk about the power of illness to destroy and also to bring us closer to other people.
Tickets are free but booking is essential. Those who come will be offered a free glass of wine.
The meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 17th of July from 6.00 to 7.30 pm at The Kensington Central Library Lecture Theatre.(This is situated at the back of the library off from Campden Hill Road).
NOTE – this event is not organised by ADKC so unfortunately we could give no further information.
