Another??project??developed??from??an idea??by an??ADKC member…Inclusive Art Kensington and Chelsea!!!
Starting in November, on Tuesday mornings, ADKC members will be able to participate in a series of half day taster workshops with five professional artists, each specialising in a different technique at ACAVA’s fully accessible community studios.
8th November – Emily Fuller – Mosaics, learn to design a pattern, cut tiles and create a coaster sized mosaic.
15th November – Sally Booth – Ink and Wash, learn brush and paper based techniques including streching paper
22nd November – Day Bowman – Collage and Mixed Media, to learn and work with the five basic elements of the picture plane (shape, colour, texture, tone and space) to create a collaborative art work
29th November – Ursula Kelly – Felt Making, create a piece of felted fabric from vibrant coloured merino wool
6th December – Aimee Parrott – Watercolour silkscreen printing, using this unusual technique create prints of pattern and imagery painted directly onto the silk screen
On 13th December all participants will be invited bact to the studio to discuss their experiences and commission two of the artists to each lead a six-week project in the new year.
Artwork made throughout the programme, from taster sessions and the six-week projects, will be exhibited at ACAVA’s Maxilla Walk Gallery as part of the London Creativity and Wellbeing Week in June 2017.
